I have had six jobs that I would classify as signicant during my career. In my 20's, I taught business courses at an area independent school district. As a twenty-plus, I decided to leave education and try the private sector. When jobs were not available in this sector, I was hired as an Assistant Training Director at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. Today, I realize what an awesome career opporunity I had at that time. Unfortnately, I left the Federal Reserve Bank becuase I was not promoted. Fifty-fifty hind sight shows me that I was immature and impatient.
After leaving the Federal Reserve Bank, I wonder and struggle finding an appropriate position. In 1981, I began a career at the Dallas County Community College District on soft money and adjunct positions. Two years later, I was blessed to obtain a position as a special programs instructor at the Job Training Center/El Centro College.
