He Is Not The One

On August 1, 2012, I met an amazing man. He teased me for over an hour during our first conversation. After that first day, I never wanted to see him again. On day two he began to pursue me, asked me what I thought about him, and asked me if we could hang out. For two months we did just that, we hung out and shared each other's company.

Unfortunately, after three months, I began to notice that the visits and calls came fewer and farther between. When I confronted him about the lack of communication, he stated that it wasn't me and that his life was pulling him in too many directions. His explanation had too many holes. From that point, I stopped allowing my heart to lead the relationship and began to engage the head and use common sense.

The red flags were mounting up; therefore, a choice had to made. On Friday, December 14, 2012, I made a decision to back off. I am a very special woman and I deserve more. Since I usually initiate most calls, and he simply returns my calls, there was a serious disconnect with our relationship.

Sadly, I wonder if he will even noticed that I don't call any more. What a sad ending to what could have been a promising relationship. Life is short, precious and filled with possibilities. I am moving on to enjoy that life.

Vacation Or Rest and Relaxation

This year's vacation plans were changed at the last minute due to unforeseen pressures from work. As the flow of life unfolded, it appears that I simply needed rest and relaxation. After four days away from the office, I finally feel human. My attachments to email, phone calls, meetings are beginning to fade. The last days of my vacation, I don't email, phone anyone or attend meeting. The pressures of these activities are only memories. I am simply relaxing. What took me so long? Why do I fill every minute with my day with meetings, emails, and phone calls. Even on vacation, it was extremely difficult to relax on day one, day two and even day three. As a matter of fact, I spent the first day of my vacation reading and answering 500 emails. How sad!! How did I fall into this state? When did work become such an electronic burden? Americans have become slaves to work and technology. We don't take the time to share a cup of tea with a neighbor or simply w...

A Journey of Chaos and Clarity

For the past twelve years, my life has been a total mess, surrounded by chaos. Through chaos, clarity surfaced and I am regaining balance in my life again. What a beautiful journey. This journey occurred after I prayed for God to change me in 2000. Since I had prayed a similar prayer in 1981, I did not face the journey with fear. Some of the most important lessons, I have learned on this 12 year journey are follows: 1) Seek and demonstrate unconditional love, and Learn to love yourself. 2) Remove toxic friends and relationships from your life. 3) Forgive those who have caused harm in your life. This forgiveness is liberating. 4) Be opened to love and seek adventure. 5) Turn your life, dreams, needs, desires and hopes over to God. 6) Live each day as if it were your last day on plant earth. 7) Find out which talents bring you joy and peace. Used these talents. 8) Continue to breathe and never stop dancing...it is good for the soul. 9) Take care of your body by ...
